AITI’s Bloodborne Pathogens training program is designed to provide students with essential knowledge about bloodborne pathogens and how to minimize their own and others’ exposure risks. By completing this certification course, participants satisfy the training requirements specified in the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) of the U.S. Department of Labor.
Students will acquire a comprehensive understanding of bloodborne pathogens and the significance of reducing exposure risks throughout the program. They will learn strategies and techniques to prevent the spread of these organisms in a variety of settings. Our certification will be provided by American Safety and Health Institute. ASHI professional resuscitation programs are available that meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services. These ASHI programs also are nationally approved by the Continuing Education Board for Emergency Services, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and many prominent medical and healthcare organizations.
